Config not accessable from primary

Can open and configure MP on secondary

Desktop: (Primary) Windows XP Pro SP2 [HP xw4300 Workstation]
Laptop: (Secondary) Vista Business OEM [Dell XPS M1210]

Was trying out multiplicity and loving it! When I disconnected my secondary (laptop) from the network to take home, was offered no warning nor information telling me I needed to make any special modifications to either primary or secondary. So off I went!

Came back the next day (Friday) and had left the primary running. Rebooted for Nero install reuqirements and now have no icon for MP on primary. When I restart the system, I do hear a beep but still no icon in systray; when I try to start MP manually, same beep occurs. Checked primary's services and MP is set to automatic with no dependancies but, alas, I still no MP on primary.

I can access all options and configs on laptop and make changes there, but cannot access primary from secondary.

Help!

Please, any advice for further info needs, or reqests, very happy to oblige!

Jon: That beep you're getting is the Buy it Now screen being blocked. When this screen is closed, the Multipl.exe process (which is the icon that runs in your system tray) will never fully launch. I would suggest disabling any popup/spyware blocking apps while launching multipl.exe and then starting them again after it launches.

Did you update your Vista to the latest update through MS? Have you tried a simple reinstall yet?

Well, after disabling as many pop-up blockers (IE7/6, and FF) as I could find on my primary system, and rebooting to ensure everything was off, I'm still getting the beep and am unable to access multiplicity...

Any further thoughts?

And Seabass, the vista is on the secondary and isn't giving me any problems at all! Nice thought though!
